In Tsukiji, since 1921.
Down a Tsukiji alley, a fugu specialist. Torafugu, within reach, with nothing cut from the quality.
The first generation came from Ise. In 1921, they opened a tempura-and-sushi shop in Monzen-nakachō, Fukagawa.
After the war, in 1948, the shop moved to Tsukiji and turned toward fugu. Since then, on this alley, it has turned the seasons alongside the market.
One rule: fugu, served well and served affordably. Quality never compromised. That is the way of Tentake.
The rooms
The whole building, a winter feast.
The multi-floor tatami rooms exist for year-end banquets — large parties gathered around torafugu, whose season runs October through March. A winter night, centred on fugu.
